Welcome Elementary Educators and Administrators!

This self-guided course is designed to support K-5 educators and administrators in enhancing science education in their schools and classrooms. It provides an overview of the Oregon Science Standards, also known as the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The Canvas platform organizes this course into learning modules. The pages of each module are comprised of short videos, articles, journal and reflection prompts, opportunities to share new ideas, and guidance on planning for quality science teaching and learning.

The course covers the following key areas:

    2. Insight into the instructional shifts required for three-dimensional teaching and learning according to these standards.
