These quotes are taken from preservice teachers who were asked about the challenges and disproportionality in outcomes of the students they work with.

For each educator quote below, reflect on the following two questions:

  1. Which bias-based belief is at play (color-evasiveness, deficit thinking, or poverty disciplining)?
  2. How might this bias-based belief impact students that the educator will be teaching?
