In this section, we’ll learn about the Instructional Elements, core instructional ideas that inform the teaching and learning of the 2024 Social Science Standards. Understanding these elements helps educators to foster critical thinking, cultural awareness and student engagement in social science education. These instructional elements prioritize critical analysis, cultural awareness and preparation for engagement in a pluralistic democracy and an increasingly interconnected world.
